Our mission
To equip SME leaders with the mindset and tools they need to build resilient, collaborative, future-ready teams.
About the project
Leading One Step Behind (LOSB) is a 24-month Erasmus+ KA220-VET Cooperation Partnership running from November 2025 to October 2027. Together we research, build and test a practical way of leading small and medium-sized businesses.
To equip SME leaders with the mindset and tools they need to build resilient, collaborative, future-ready teams.
European workplaces where people are trusted, involved and expected to co-create solutions every day.
Five partner organisations, five countries, materials in multiple languages — free and open for any SME across the EU and beyond.
Workplan
Over two years, LOSB does four things: it researches the success factors behind collaborative leadership in SMEs; it co-designs a VET curriculum from that research; it turns the curriculum into a free online course; and it builds a bank of real practices. Nothing stays on paper — everything is piloted in partner countries and published openly.
Project phases
Each phase builds on the one before it, from first findings to the final closing events.
What actually makes collaborative leadership work in small companies.
Partners and practitioners co-design a VET curriculum from the findings.
The curriculum becomes a free, self-paced online course.
We collect real workplace practices and test everything with companies in partner countries.
Findings, materials and lessons shared openly at national events across Europe.
